Cyber Sprocket Labs

Cyber Sprocket Labs formed when I merged my individual consulting efforts at Charleston Software Associates with Craig Coffman’s I Make Widgets consulting agency.  The company grew from 2 individuals to a team of 5 coders in less than a year.  At it’s peak, Cyber Sprocket employed 14 people, all programmers other than an administrative assistant, and had more than $3.5mm in annual project revenue.

Contracts included inventory tracking systems for the United States Air Force, self-service beer tap systems, Windows desktop applications, one of the first IOS mobile apps, a variety of Android and IOS apps, lots of proprietary web apps including a custom CMS.    In the last few years of operation the company shifted its focus from the proprietary CMS to porting existing and new clients to WordPress.    New plugins, such as Store Locator Plus®, and themes were developed for WordPress for the exclusive use of select clients that included companies such as Tommy Hilfiger, and DLO which is now part of Phillips.

The company was closed in mid-2012 as I realized I needed to spend time watching my son grow up and getting back to writing code versus wrangling people and contracts.
